Diwali 2015 is coming near and I hope you all are looking towards planning Diwali leaves well in advance. Be it Government or Non-Government stature, getting leaves is always a tough task (in most of the cases until and unless you get a hit by some emergency). Here I am going to share some best possible plans that will help you while planning leaves for Diwali 2015.

Diwali 2015 will be on 11 November 2015. This day will be Wednesday which is exactly middle for all employees/students whom work culture is of 5 days week. For some it is an advantage while at the same time for some people it will turn out as disadvantage (as some will not get leaves because of this midway approach). It is going to affect localities in a big way as they will not be able to plan weekend + Diwali plans that smoothly.

Now let me share some plans right away:
For this case I am considering 5 day week system. Which means your weekend will start from 7 Nov 2015.
So 7 Sat, 8 Sun, 9 Mon, 10 Tue, 11 Wed, 12 Thu, 13 Fri, 14 again Sat and 15 again Sun.

11 is going to be official holiday. In some organizations, 12 Nov will also be a holiday which means by applying leaves for 9, 10 and 13 November you will be getting a long holiday for 9 days. You can extend it further by adjusting the remaining leaves in next or previous week of Diwali week.

You can even extend it further by asking for options like work from home which is going to be a great help during this festive season but please make sure that you have all the facilities required for work from home facility. Just make sure that your net connection and hardware supports all the software’s/platforms that are needed in your day to day work.

This work from home is exclusive for IT sector employees as in most of the IT projects you have the option of completing your task by sitting anywhere (not anywhere exactly).

So plan your leaves carefully and start booking tickets (flight tickets will go higher and higher so book soon).
